Matters raised by Tigers Co-op Representatives:
Could we have a moment before our first Premiership home game to remember all those supporters and players in the last 104 years of the club's existence who dreamed of seeing Hull City play at the highest level in English football but never lived to see the day. A minute of applause was suggested as a way of thanking all those who had gone before rather than silence because it would not be a somber moment.
PD was in full agreement with the idea.
There is serious pedestrian congestion in the narrow car park area at the base of the West Stand Upper stair tower (near to match day club shop) after matches. Widening the car park road area was suggested.
PD was not sure what could be done about it as it may just transfer the problem somewhere else. Widening the car park area might be a problem due to the stadium's boundaries.
The problem of the kiosk staff's poor command of English was raised again.
Periodic reviews take place with the caterers and this will be looked at again.
Mature students (i.e. over 21) are not allowed to buy tickets at concessionary rates. 30% of students at the University of Hull are mature students.
PD said that previously concessions made to this group had been abused. The new concession group of all under 21s meant that a lot would gain. No matter what arrangements are made there would be winners and losers.
Does Hull City gain anything from selling away match tickets?
Nothing, as this is a reciprocal arrangement with other Football League clubs.
Other points raised
Any plans to increase stadium capacity in the near future?
Nothing will be done until there is a proven sustained demand. The average gate this season so far is 17,700 which is well below capacity. Areas N1, 2,3 will be made available to home supporters for the Crystal Palace game. Any work to extend the East Stand would commence during a close season but would probably mean it starting the following season without a roof.
Steve Jordan's match day script will be reviewed before next season as it is looking 'a bit tired.'
The club intends to have a beam back of the Ipswich game on the last day of the season. All arrangements have been made to do this.
600 tons of soil will be removed from the pitch during the summer. The surface has not received the proper maintenance during the 5 years since it was first put down. Once the remedial work has taken place it should not need to be repeated if the proper investment takes place each year. The idea of a memorial garden in West Park is being looked into.
The Walton Street car park continues to be a cause of concern. The person at Hull City Council who was responsible left and has recently been replaced. Contact will be made with this new person.
Concern was expressed about reserve team match venues being changed at short notice. Existing venues will continue to be used next season. More publicity e.g. radio was requested for any sudden alterations.
Further work will be undertaken during the summer at the Cottingham training ground to level the surface and improve the watering facilities. This may well mean that early season training takes place in Brough.
No extra tickets will be made available for the last 2 away games. The home clubs decide the size of allocation.
Supporters' flags are welcome in the KC as long as they do not obscure signage or break ground regulations.
The Juniors will play in the northern area cup final on Saturday 19th April against Hartlepool.
There is a cap of 19,000 on season ticket sales.
Pre-season friendlies - this is under review except for an obligation to play against Doncaster Rovers and Chesterfield. The willingness and financial considerations of top class opposition to play against City would change if we are a Premiership club.
