REPLICA SHIRTS - they will be changed every season - Co-op rep asked if fans could be involved with design for next season but both kits have already been decided upon and ordered
Why is "Gemtec" not printed on the back of shirts bought from the shop, yet it is on the players' shirts? PD said fans can request to have it printed on, free of charge. Umbro did not want too much advertising on shirts
SPONSORSHIP - one fan wondered why the club did not contact previous sponsors to try and get more business from them - he had actually had difficulty sponsoring a player's kit this season as he did not receive a reply to emails and subsequently was not in time for the first programme of the season. Commercial Director Andy Dawson agreed that the club should be chasing people up.
AWAY DIRECT - not always good seats - the reason is they receive the first batch and when a further allocation of tickets is released from the away club, they are sometimes better seats
TIGER TRAVEL - why are there no lights on at the KC car park when coaches get back after midweek games? This will be looked into. A phone call will be made just before the buses arrive back to make sure the lights go on.
Will we be LOWERING PRICES to fill the stadium at some low key games as previous years? PB said it is very early in the season after only 3 home games to talk about reducing prices but he will look into it in a month or two. He does not want to upset season pass holders though. He is not sure if there will be a half-season pass.
FIXTURE CLASH - because of rugby match at KC, our home fixture on Saturday with Ipswich will be 12.30p.m. k.o.
SMOKING - complaints about fans smoking - will we be having a smoking PEN? Probably not. It is high maintenance. Derby County may be doing away with their pen and revert to a total smoking ban.
FLC COMMITTEE - do the committee members actually represent the fans? - could there be suggestion boxes in the stands and ballot boxes for when there are certain matters that the club needs an opinion on? Dan Pratt will have a suggestion box available every matchday in the OSC office.
CHELSEA tickets - why are members of OSC only third in the priority list and for only one day? Not fair that pass holders only allowed one ticket each, yet non-pass holders who attended up to three home games could actually buy up to three Chelsea tickets! PB said it was simply the timing/short notice - they are trying to have a fully operational CRM system which will improve things.
MISSING SEATS - in S.E. corner - safety reasons - they will be put back in for the Chelsea match
SHEFFIELD WED. home match will be live on Sky on December 30th
OFFICIAL WEBSITE - very poor, not many use it now
WALTON STREET CAR PARK - horrendous to get out of
EXPRESS CHECKOUTS - why not have a ticket system whereby fans can pre-order drinks/pies then simply collect their order at half-time without staff handling money simultaneously, like the theatre?
U21 MATCHES - will we be holding U21 international fixtures again? Probably not. The pitch is heavily trafficked - about 40 events a year
Old RAILWAY PLAQUE - trying to find it, they are "on the case"
ADVERTISING - does the club do enough to advertise fixtures at the KC? Other clubs have fixture lists in all the pubs in their cities. We will discuss this at next meeting. If you have any ideas for promoting matches/maximising support, please email.
