Since the mid 1970's, the strip has fluctuated between the two versions of plain shirts and stripes. During the Robinson era in the 1980's, a small amount of red was added but this is no longer a feature of the strip. A striped two-tone amber shirt was also used for the only time in the club's history in 1984-86.
