Ashbee was rated touch and go for the game against QPR last week but the postponement allowed him more time to recover from an Achilles injury he suffered in the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough, and he is expected to be included in the Tigers squad.
Pearson was hopeful Daniel Ayala would return after the on-loan Liverpool defender missed the last two games with a hamstring injury but the game looks to have come a week too early.
Paul McShane and Jay Simpson are both pushing for starting places while Craig Fagan (hip), Caleb Folan and Jimmy Bullard (both knee) are all unavailable.
