The 24-year-old is no longer wanted by Preston North End, and after trying out for Aberdeen recently he will now train with City. He may feature in City's pre-season friendlies, which start on Monday at Lincoln United.
The 5'11" Southampton-born forward began his career as a trainee with his home-town club, but made just 1 start and 19 substitute appearances for the Saints, scoring once.
After a successful loan spell at Deepdale he signed for them three years ago. However, he has been injured for long spells there and has only scored 6 goals in 28 starts and 33 sub games.
He has recently had a trial with Aberdeen but failed to impress enough in 45 minutes against Montrose in a friendly for the Dons to offer him a contract. He's available on a free transfer.
