Brown has as good as named his defence, resting Sam Ricketts, Wayne Brown and possibly Michael Turner. Centre back Sam Collins will make his first start for the club since September 2006, with Damien Delaney recalled to partner him. Right back Nathan Doyle will make only his third appearance since joining from Derby a year ago, with Andy Dawson continuing at left back. Matt Duke will be chosen over Boaz Myhill in goal for the fifth time this season.
Right winger Ryan France will make his first team comeback, having been out since February with a cruciate ligament injury. He's revealed he could be set to go out on loan soon though to gain match fitness. Richard Garcia will be rested.
Stuart Elliott could make his first start since the Carling Cup defeat to Chelsea in September. Brown has said there's no chance of the Northern Ireland international going out on loan, but he would consider letting him leave permanently should an offer come in. Bryan Hughes keeping his place is the alternative for the left wing position.
Ian Ashbee will be rested, so Dean Marney will come into midfield alongside David Livermore.
Nick Barmby is expected to start for the first time since limping off in the third league game of the season, at home to Norwich. Either Dean Windass or Caleb Folan will keep their place alongside him in attack, or Elliott could even play a central role.
Steve McPhee will not be involved, with his transfer to Blackpool to go through imminently.
Fraizer Campbell (hamstring) and Jay-Jay Okocha (groin) are both definitely out, but could be back for next week's game against West Brom.
Henrik Pedersen is close to returning to full training after a succession of knee injuries, but has not set a comeback date.
