Ben Burgess - man of the hour

The official Football League award sponsored by Umbro Isotonic goes to Burgess after he helped City go back to the top of the league, scoring goals against Oxford and Cheltenham.

That goal against Oxford won the goal of the month poll on this site by a landslide, picking up just over two thirds of the votes, with his other strike in second place on 8.6%.

The 22-year-old will get a trophy and a bottle of champagne for his player of the month achievement.

Elsewhere, ex-Tiger Lawrie Dudfield has moved from Northampton to Southend on a month's loan.
