Tigers boss Peter Taylor is known to be in the hunt for a new forward due to Ben Burgess's knee injury. 6'2" Parkin would fit the bill perfectly, but City's £100,000 bid wasn't enough to tempt Swindon into selling the 23-year-old.
Taylor is rumoured to be turning his attention toward Bristol City striker Lee Peacock instead. The 27-year-old has spent the last four seasons at Ashton Gate following as £600,000 move from Manchester City, but could be on his way out following the dismissal of manager Danny Wilson.
