An undisclosed transfer fee of at least £2million brings left winger Halmosi to the club from Plymouth Argyle. The Pilgrims signed the player, capped 18 times by Hungary, on loan from Debreceni VSC in January 2007 before making it a £400,000 permanent transfer. The protracted move from Home Park has now reached its conclusion, with the 28-year-old passing a medical and signing a four-year deal with Hull City.
Former Holland international Boateng came to the Premiership from Feyenoord over ten years ago, having spells with Coventry City and Aston Villa before joining Middlesbrough. The 32-year-old central midfielder made over 200 appearances in all competitions for Boro. He leaves in a £1million move, signing a two-year contract with the Tigers.
Warner has also signed a two-year deal. The 6'4" journeyman goalkeeper, capped once by Trinidad & Tobago, signed professional terms with Liverpool before spells at Swindon, Celtic, Aberdeen, Millwall, Cardiff, Fulham, Leeds, Norwich and Barnsley. Available on a free transfer, Warner has been on trial at the club, and now joins Matt Duke in competing for the number 1 spot held by Boaz Myhill. His last appearance at the KC Stadium hardly endeered him to the home crowd. He was involved in two late scuffles with Nick Barmby as the Tigers tried, in vain, to overturn Norwich's 2-1 lead, but got away with just a booking for time-wasting.
Phil Brown has now completed six transfers, with more expected to follow.
