As revealed on this site yesterday, John McDermott, Andy Dawson and Jason Price are all joining on free transfers.
34-year-old right-back John McDermott has signed a 2-year deal with an option of a further year. He's joined on wages of just a third of what he was being paid by Grimsby, where he was captain after 16 years' service.
Peter Taylor says that 26-year-old Jason Price is "a good player" who "can score goals", and revealed he has been interested in him for some time. He scored 15 goals in 39 starts for Tranmere after joining from Brentford in November 2001. Previously he had been at Swansea for 6 years, making almost 150 appearances. The 6'2" Welshman is versatile and has played at full-back and up front, but joins primarily as a right-winger. This marks the end of City's interest in Walsall's Darren Wrack.
Andy Dawson will join the pair at the KC Stadium when his contract runs out in the summer. He moves on a free transfer after four years at local rivals Scunthorpe United.
Meanwhile, Greg Strong, Andy Holt and Shaun Smith are all on the transfer list to make room for the new signings.
