Dean Windass sticks with number 9 instead of the number 10 shirt he has more commonly worn in his career. Geovanni takes that number, which was last worn by defender Neil Clement after Stephen McPhee joined Blackpool.
Péter Halmosi wears 16, the same number he had at Plymouth.
George Boateng has been given number 20, Tony Warner 26 and Anthony Gardner 30.
The lowest unassigned number is 17, which was recently vacated by Michael Bridges. 23 and 24 are also free, as is 25, which was worn by Fraizer Campbell until he returned to Manchester United.
