The left-back was substituted at Cheltenham last month with a dead leg, but didn't miss any further games as it looked to have cleared up. However, the thigh injury has returned and he's estimated to be out until April.
Nathan Peat has been recalled from his loan spell at Cambridge where he's played six times. Steve Burton, Andy Holt, Damien Delaney and Shaun Smith are also available as cover.
However, that's not the end of City's injury problems. Danny Allsopp is touch and go to recover from a groin muscle strain and Justin Whittle has a hamstring injury, while Ian Ashbee and Jason Price have been ruled out with achilles problems.
