Evans, 20, arrived from Old Trafford on loan for the rest of the season the previous week and scored six minutes into his first appearance as Nigel Pearson's side completed a ninth league match on their travels undefeated.
Evans said: "I was delighted with the goal and it was a good first appearance for me.
"I just gambled at the back post and luckily the defender didn't clear the ball. I anticipated what was going to happen and managed to sneak in to toe-poke it into the back of the net."
Evans, younger brother of Manchester United defender Jonny, said: "We've kept that run going and Reading have been in good form recently.
"If anybody had asked before the game if we'd take a draw, I think we probably would."
