But Accrington boss John Coleman says that a move for Burton won't go ahead straight away. Their result against Leigh RMI in FA Cup qualifying could determine their need to bring in the 21-year-old.
He said: "We're still hoping to get something sorted out and we are still interested in him, but it is unlikely anything will take place before the Leigh game."
Meanwhile, Taylor could yet put a stop to either player going: "To be honest I'm still thinking about it and I'll probably wait to see the LDV draw before making my decision.
"It would be a good experience for both of them, they're both doing very well and we'll just have to wait and see at the minute."
The draw for the northern second round of the LDV Trophy is on Saturday morning, and will be televised live on Soccer AM on Sky Sports 1.
