Hull v Leicester

Last updated : 31 December 2010 By BBC Sport

Leicester have doubts over Curtis Davies and keeper Chris Kirkland, while Miguel Vitor is still nursing a thigh injury and remains a doubt.

Kirkland aggravated a long-standing back injury against Millwall on Tuesday and defender Davies is still struggling with a knee strain.

MATCH PREVIEW

Hull boss Nigel Pearson faces his former club hoping that the Tigers can maintain their encouraging recent form. They are unbeaten in eight matches and have risen from 20th to 15th in the table.

Pearson, who spent two years as Leicester manager and led the Foxes to promotion in 2008, will be hoping his team can take advantage of the leakiest defence in the Championship. Hull have struggled in front of goal this season, while Leicester have conceded 42 - more than any other team in the division.

Some of Leicester's performances since the appointment of Sven-Goran Eriksson have been their best since Pearson's departure, but the Foxes have been struggling of late. Eriksson's side have won only one of their last five matches, and two of their last seven.

They have also suffered four consecutive away defeats, conceding a total of 10 goals in the process. They failed to score in both their last two away trips: a 2-0 loss at Millwall and a 3-0 reverse at Ipswich.
