Hull v Reading

Last updated : 27 December 2010 By BBC Sport

Reading's club captain Ivar Ingimarsson is hoping to return to the squad following a hamstring injury.

Shane Long has been suffering from flu but starred against Bristol City and should be involved again.

MATCH PREVIEW

Reading are unbeaten in seven matches and have won their last two. The Royals' 4-1 thrashing of Bristol City on Boxing Day left them only one place outside of the play-off spots.

They will be looking to continue that momentum at Hull, where they have not lost in seven visits. The Tigers' last home win against them was in December 1980, when both clubs were in the old Third Division.

Hull are in good form themselves: unbeaten in seven league games and fresh from a 3-2 victory at Sheffield United, where Jimmy Bullard netted a last-minute winner. That result made this the Tigers' longest unbeaten run since they went eight games without losing in February and March 2005.

It means City, who have won their last two matches, are unlikely to fear anyone - not least because they are yet to lose this season, or even concede goal, at home to a team currently in the top half of the table.
