Brighton's first choice keeper Ben Roberts is struggling with a back injury, so manager Steve Coppell has recalled Kuipers to cover for him.
The Dutchman kept a clean sheet on his Tigers debut at Doncaster Rovers, then saved a last minute penalty in the 3-2 win over Southend at the weekend. His third and final game was the 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient on Tuesday.
With Kuipers gone, Paul Musselwhite will wear the goalkeeper's jersey at Rochdale on Saturday for the fifth time this season. Peter Taylor's number 1 Alan Fettis has recovered from a knee injury, but after being sidelined for a month he isn't yet match fit so Musselwhite will get the nod.
However, Taylor hasn't ruled out bringing Kuipers back to the KC Stadium if he feels he needs to replace either of the keepers currently in his ranks.
The goalkeeping change is expected to be the only alteration to Taylor's side at Rochdale, with Jason Price, Danny Allsopp, Alton Thelwell, Marc Joseph, Richie Appleby and John Anderson all still missing.
