Late Shrews Goal Denies City

After a goal-less first half - in which Ian Ashbee hit the post - City made the breakthrough on the hour mark. Stuart Green played a slide-rule ball and Elliott finished to get his second goal of the season.

It was backs to the wall stuff for City from there on and the hosts duly got their equaliser two minutes from time. Ian Woan's free kick was parried by Paul Musselwhite, and Ian Stevens was first to the rebound to snatch a point.
