A section of the East Stand close to the visiting QPR fans in the North Stand taunted them with chants referring to last month's bombings in their city. This led to tension between the two sets of fans, and after the game there were reports of violence when they clashed on the Walton Street car park.
An article in today's Times newspaper sees Adam Pearson vowing to stamp out this behaviour by banning offenders for life.
He said: "We will be conducting a full and thorough investigation into this matter. Obviously, if the allegations are true then we, as a club, completely abhor this sort of behaviour and those responsible will be dealt with accordingly - and that means banning them."
A statement on the club's website also reveals that two people from that section of the East Stand were evicted from the ground, and refers to those involved as "Hull youths" and not supporters.
CCTV footage will be used to indentify those responsible, and any fans who can help with the investigation should contact the club.
Areas N7 and E1 of the KC Stadium will be closed until further notice to help distance home and away fans in future matches.
The club also hope that the police will be able to take action against those found responsible if necessary.
