City made it six games without defeat on the road despite Palace having numerous chances to score, especially in a one-sided second half.
Pearson said: "I was disappointed that we couldn't replicate the first-half performance because we were the better side. We played some good football.
"Our movement and our shape caused them an awful lot of problems but we weren't able to sustain that and maybe a point was fair.
"I'm sure George (Burley) would feel, with the second-half pressure that they had, that they were more likely to go and nick it.
"It remains frustrating for us to not be able to score enough goals to win games. But at least we got a clean sheet."
