He said: "I'm pleased to announce we have agreed a two-year deal with a major regional company which is excellent news for the club.
"It is a very lucrative package and will certainly be one of the best at our particular level of the game by some considerable margin.
"However, we've agreed with the company involved not to say anything until the official launch next week."
Kingston Communications, Bonus Electricals and P&O Ferries have been rumoured, but the club won't announce it until the official press conference.
With Sportscard gone, a new playing kit will be required with the sponsor's name on.
Pearson confirmed: "A new strip is something I'd hoped to avoid. The plan was to keep the current strip for two years. However, I'm sure the fans will understand why we are changing and we will do everything we can to ensure we keep the new strip for two years."
