U's manager John Taylor claims that Price - who scored the opener in the 2-0 win - hit Luke Guttridge.
Taylor said: "Jason Price actually punched Luke, and the referee did nothing.
"Peter Taylor came out of his dug-out because you could see he could hardly believe what his player had done. I don't go out of my way to criticise referees, but that was very poor."
The United boss was almost banished from the dugout for displaying his outrage to the match officials at missing the 'incident'.
Meanwhile, his namesake and opposite number, Hull City manager Peter Taylor, has praised his side for picking up their first away win and clean sheet of the season.
He said: "We knew we had to be together and it was a real team effort. We could have had a couple more goals but the most pleasing thing was a clean sheet. I couldn't have asked for more."
Peter Taylor didn't mention Price clashing with Guttridge.
