It appears that James Armstrong (as fielded at Winterton) AKA Daylon Claarson is still being dogged by red tape that sees the South African facing dissapointment at the refusal of a working visa that will deny him a place on one of the biggest football stages in the world, the Premiership. Claarson impressed Bruce in both of the goalless games in Portugal but the slimest of chances that a visa will be granted is with the immigration department.
But Bruce has to quickly move on as the closing of the transfer window looms larger and at this point most of the transfer negotiations between any quality player and club will already be well under way leaving only the waifs and strays, the has beens and the desperates to thrash out last minute deals which is what City and the fans will not want to see.
The deal brokered for Wilson Palacios is still hanging on decisions to be made by Stoke City while Cameron Stewart seems set to become a Charlton Athletic player and there is still speculation of Bruce hammering out a deal for ex Fulham and Russian international Pavel Pogrebnyak.
