They may be languishing in the table, but Hull City have a decent fans' website that competes with the rest of the Championship.
Hull City Online caters for Tigers with a thirst for information and opinion. First impressions of the News Index page don't do the site justice, with only occasional articles about comings and goings at the KC Stadium, but dig deeper and you'll find a wealth of material.
In addition to FootyMad's independent match reports, Hull City Online offers a more in-depth view from the terraces with comprehensive player ratings for each and every game, home and away.
All 36 kits that Hull have worn in their 102-year history are on display. There is some confusion as to whether the Tigers' nickname was derived from the amber and black striped kit, or whether the nickname influenced the design of the kit - a chicken and egg dilemma that will probably never be resolved.
A club history section puts Wikipedia to shame, backed up by 29 legendary player-profiles contributed by the website's regulars. Any decent fan website needs a popular interactive forum and Hull City Online is no different.
It's buzzing with activity. The only criticism is the separation of the forum into three caregories - The Terrace (a mixture of football and off-topic banter), The Bar (A place to chat - no football allowed) and The Dugout (strictly football only). Surely there is no need for all three! Regulars may be aware of the differences, but there appears to be too much overlap and I'm sure new visitors are thrown by it.
For some reason The Bar also has a different layout - a linear style rather than threaded like the other two.
Maybe there's a valid reason, but all three should look the same for consistency purposes in my opinion.
Hull fans are understandably proud of their ground - The KC Stadium - so it's no surprise to see a whole section dedicated to the club's new home, with aerial photos, development log and reader reviews.
The site has everything for anyone wanting to know about the Tigers. The team may not be doing well on the field, but Hull Online scores points on the web!
