Well, well, well! This Premiership lark's not so bad after all. After Wigan, I thought, 'oh no!', this could become a Derby County, but, how wrong I have been.
After yesterday's performance v Everton, maybe we're becoming a 60-70 minute team, which may turn out to be fatal, especially after we have been told how fit the team is. You have to last ninety minutes. However, maybe the momentum from last season, as the season begins to settle down into autumn, is now starting to fade, as reality settles in as to where we actually are. I hope not.
Hopefully, as I expect, Phil Brown will get it spot-on next Saturday. I remember the turning point last season being WBA away. Most supporters expected us to be defensive, yet PB put out an attacking formation. The result was a 2-1 victory and the start of our run to attack the play-off positions from then mid-table mediocrity. I'd rather, even live on Setanta, go down fighting. Better to be on the end of a hammering than try and defend for ninety minutes. Wenger won't be thinking, "it's only Hull City." Arsenal will be ready for us and I believe the big crowd and atmosphere, something we're getting used to now, will spur the players on, especially Marney, the ex-Spurs player.
Great so far. Three points up on what I'd predicted and three points up on the 'point a game' average that should see survival.
