The visitors started brightly with Gavin Williams shooting over in the first minute and Jake Edwards firing wide just before the quarter-hour mark.
At the other end Marc Joseph and Ben Burgess missed the target but the first half-hour was pretty even overall.
After 23 minutes Jason Price shot over from close-range, and Burgess then slid a foot out to connect with Price's cross from the right, only to see his shot go inches wide of the left-hand post.
Just before half time Jamie Forrester's shot was saved easily and an effort from Stuart Elliott went well over the bar.
After the restart Elliott headed wide again from a corner before a powerful long-range shot from Ian Ashbee was deflected wide as the Tigers began to pick up the pace.
On 65 minutes Yeovil substitute Jamie Gosling shot just wide from ten yards, before at the other end Elliott headed wide again.
With half an hour to go, a long-range shot from Price was superbly kept out by Chris Weale who leapt up, stuck out a hand and tipped it over.
A few minutes later Elliott shot wide again from a good position in the box.
Terry Skiverton headed into the hands of Paul Musselwhite, but a minute later a superb 20-yard effort from Ashbee brought out an even better save from Weale, who although he had several players blocking his view, somehow saw it and blocked the shot.
Deep into injury time, Price missed a golden chance on the right-hand side of the box, but Hull had to be content with a point after being frustrated by a competent and taut Yeovil defence.
