The Official Hull City AFC Quiz Book - Chris Cowlin & Kevin Snelgrove There are varying levels of difficulty to the questions. Some are as easy as naming the club's ground and kit colour. Some I'd challenge any City fan to answer - the aggregate score against Carlisle in the 1st Round of the League Cup in 1995, anyone? Some of the quizzes in the book require you to match up ten names with ten answers. This doesn't always give you much of a clue though; stating City's exact league positions from over 50 years ago, or the number of appearances made by former players are bound to require guesswork. You can tell this book isn't written by a Hull City fan. The regular references to the club as 'Hull' are a giveaway. Certain questions every single fan can answer and certain questions I don't think any fan would know for sure without looking it up - such as those mentioned above - also show it's written by an outsider. There's still plenty though where "it's only easy if you know 'em." Obviously not something to read from cover to cover (then again, some City fans...) but would pass the time in the car on an away trip, and plenty of taxing questions would come up if you played it this way. (Possibly some arguments too!) |
